Pseudoscience
The term pseudoscience refers to any scientific endeavour or discovery that is considered to have no scientific foundation. Examples of psuedoscience include:
- Alchemy: The medieval art of chemistry, physics, metallurgy and medicine.
- Fan death: The claim that fans can cause death when left in a room with a sleeping person.
- Feng Shui: The art of arranging living space in accordance with nature (popular but lacking any scientific support).
- Phrenology: The study of the shape of the skull in order to analyse a person's character and mental capacity.
