2008-03-14, UFO sighting over Gran Canaria (Canary Islands)
An unidentified flying object was reported to have hovered over southern Gran Canaria early on the morning of March 14 and was seen by dozens of people on their drive to work. It was deswcribed as “...something very large, circular, with lights all round it and from below it gave out a great downward beam of light.” The incident remains a mystery.1

2008-04-21, Red Lights Over Phoenix, Arizona
Four red lights were seen to hover over Phoenix, Arizona. The event was captured on numerous home video cameras. An unidentified man later confessed to creating the UFOs as entertainmemnt for his family. He demonstrated how he had made the lights using nothing more than flares attached to helium balloons.2
